Since Russia’s attack on Ukraine began in 2014, over 14,000 people have been killed, tens of thousands seriously wounded and nearly 7 million displaced. In recent months, Russia has been amassing unprecedented forces along the border with Ukraine. Putin’s imperialistic ambitions are not limited to Russia’s neighborhood as he continues to start multiple regional conflicts and destabilize democracies around the world.

The Ukrainian Congress Committee of America and the Ukrainian World Congress have called on Ukrainian communities worldwide to join the global campaigns #StandWithUkraine #SupportUkraine #UniteWithUkraine #StopPutinNOW.

UCCA MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS RALLY FOR UKRAINE

An Appeal of the Ukrainian Catholic Bishops of the United States

Pray for peace and justice in Ukraine. God is the Lord of history and the Lover of Humankind. His grace changes the most hardened hearts. Ukraine was brutally invaded, its territory annexed, the society traumatized. May God convert the promoters of violence. May God protect Ukraine and its people from further harm.

There is a huge humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. People near the frontline often lack the basics—clean water, food, clothes, medicine. Heal the wounds. Help the victims of this senseless invasion.

“Pray for peace and justice for Ukraine – Be informed – Support the suffering.”

An Appeal From the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA

As the nation of Ukraine defends itself against aggression – we are issuing this urgent appeal for contributions, which will be delivered in person to the proper individuals, for the medical care of the thousands of people who have been injured, some very severely, during these difficult days. Your contribution may be the primary reason that another human being receives the treatment necessary for survival.

We must stress that time is of the essence. Our goal is to get these contributions into the hands of those who need them as soon as we can!

United Ukrainian American Relief Committee

In 1944, UCCA formed the United Ukrainian American Relief Committee (UUARC) to spearhead assistance for Ukrainian war victims and refugees. In addition to ongoing immigrant assistance programs, the UUARC has sent an unprecedented amount of medical supplies and humanitarian aid to Ukraine to assist wounded soldiers, displaced persons and orphans.

As estimates predict 3-5 potential refugees of war in Ukraine, UUARC is fundraising to provide vital medical supplies to victims, care for the injured and refugees, as well as shelter and food to those affected.

UUARC is working closely with UCCA, the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States of America in the coordination of aid.

Ukrainian Medical Association of North America

Ukraine is in the midst of a major humanitarian and medical crisis since the Russian invasion on February 24th, 2022. Numerous civilians including children have been killed and hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians have fled home seeking safety.

The infrastructure to deliver food and medicine has been destroyed, and there is a serious shortage of medical supplies in many hospitals and health facilities, including access to trauma care.

Ukrainian American Freedom Foundation

UAFF is collecting monetary donations for the civil resistance of Ukraine. We are providing material and logistic assistance to the Ukrainian people in need of help with humanitarian supplies including but not limited to military grade medical supplies, protective gear, vehicles for civilian transport and evacuation, radios etc. These items will aid in the survival of Ukrainian civilians. We will be shipping these items directly to Ukraine through our established channels.

Ukrainian American Veterans

It is completely overwhelming to watch this level of unprovoked and unjustified aggression in the 21st century against Ukraine. The most brutal warfare in seventy years has been unleashed on a peaceful country by Vladimir Putin, a thug of the highest order. The world is witnessing another attempt at genocide on the Ukrainian people.

Know this, my fellow Ukrainians, the level of support coming into Ukraine from across the world and from the diaspora is incredible. Munitions and supplies are en route. With international help and the grace of God, this conflict will pass, leaving the Ukrainian people stronger and more unified than ever.

Donations of medical equipment and communication gear may be made to the UAV Veterans Humanitarian Fund here in the United States. They will work out the logistics of getting funds and materials to Ukraine.

Widows and Orphans Fund

The Society of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) is leading an urgent appeal to collect funds for the widows and orphans of these fallen civilian Territorial Defense heroes to help their families. This action is being taken in accordance with the Mission of the Society of UPA-USA by honoring the legacy of our parents who fought in UPA while supporting the heroes defending Ukraine today against the Russian War on Ukraine. The “Widows and Orphans Fund” has been established through the Ukrainian American Freedom Foundation and 100% of all donations will be distributed directly to the widows of verified battalion fallen soldiers by the battalion leadership in Ukraine.
