Ukrainian National Information Service (UNIS) |
The
Ukrainian National Information Service (UNIS),
the Washington bureau of the Ukrainian Congress
Committee of America (UCCA), has been in service
to the Ukrainian American community for over
twenty years.
UNIS works as a liaison office
providing information to the community, thus
facilitating individual participation in U.S.
political processes and enhancing the vitality of
the UCCA's member organizations. |

UNIS
has established close working relationships with
Members of Congress, Administration officials,
the media, and think-tank organizations.
UNIS
also participates in the development and
improvement of U.S.-Ukrainian bilateral relations
through its work with Congress and the US
Administration.

The
Ukrainian National Information Service is the
official information service of the Ukrainian
Congress Committee of America, Inc. (UCCA) and
its mandates are as follows:
- To disseminate
information about Ukraine and Ukrainian-Americans
and voice the opinion on issues of
concern to interested individuals among
Members of Congress, the Administration,
and the news media.
- To gather
information on the activities of Congress
and the Administration in those areas of
interest to the Ukrainian community; to
keep track of resolutions or bills that
affect Ukraine and the Ukrainian
community; and to pass on the accumulated
data with recommendations to the
community for its actions.
