Call for Volunteers to Serve as

Fall 2005

 Since 1994, the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA) has been hosting delegations of international election observers to monitor Ukraine's presidential and parliamentary elections.  In 2004, the UCCA's delegation, which numbered 2,408 individuals, was the largest delegation of International Election Observers ever registered by Ukraine's Central Election Commission, surpassing the OSCE's delegation by almost 1,000 observers. In light of Ukraine's upcoming parliamentary elections in March 2006, the UCCA National Office has compiled an informational packet for your review and distribution.  

Enclosed please find an informational packet that contains the following materials:

·        Application for interested International Election Observers

·        Summary of the UCCA's program and what to expect

·        Estimated budget of expenses for International Election Observers

 A UCCA Delegation of International Election Observers can assist in the upcoming parliamentary elections by ensuring that they are conducted in a free and fair manner. Following the successful Orange Revolution, the upcoming parliamentary elections are just as important if not more important for Ukraine to secure its democratic and free-market economic reforms. Let's unite our strengths and show our support so that Ukraine can secure its rightful place among democratic nations.  Your participation in this process can make a difference!
