“UKRAINIAN DAYS” ADVOCACY EVENT TO INFORM CONGRESS ON PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS, U.S.-UKRAINE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

Washington, DC (UNIS) - Registration for the annual “Ukrainian Days” advocacy program in our nation’s capital is still open.  Sponsored by the Ukrainian National Information Service (UNIS), the Washington public-affairs bureau of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA), the advocacy event will be held in Washington, DC on Wednesday and Thursday, April 25-26, 2012.  The intent of “Ukrainian Days” is to promote the concerns of the Ukrainian American community, as well as to establish better relations with Administration officials, think-tank organizations, and our elected representatives in Congress.

UCCA to Host International Election Observer Mission: Calls for Volunteers to Serve as Observers

New York, NY (UCCA) – The Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA), an organization with long-term experience in observing elections, will once again play an active part in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Ukraine slated for Sunday, October 28, 2012, by hosting a delegation of International Election Observers.  As one of the few non-governmental organizations, and the only Ukrainian American community organization, registered with Ukraine’s Central Election Commission (CEC), the UCCA has been actively involved in sending observer missions to Ukraine since 1991.
